XpressConnect for Windows XP

Description:
"UTA Wireless Setup" provides access to XpressConnect, an automatic configuration utility that will configure your system to connect to the UTA wireless network.
This document provides a step-by-step guide to using XpressConnect for setup of a wireless connection under Windows XP and assumes several things:
- You have an 802.11a/b/g compatible wireless network adapter and it has been properly installed;
- You have a fair understanding of the Windows operating system;
- You have a clean default installation of Windows XP.
How to Use:
- Click on the Start button, Settings, and select Control Panel.
- Select Network Connections (Click for more information about Control Panel Views).
- Double-click on your Wireless Network Connection.
- Click View Wireless Networks.
- Select UTAwireless Setup (You may need to click Refresh network list).
- Click the Connect button, and click Connect Anyway in the warning popup.
- Open a web browser. You should be greeted with a welcome page.
- Click the check box to accept the EULA, then click Start >.
- Choose either UTA Auto Login or UTA Web Login, then click Continue >.

For "UTA Auto Login":
- If you want to be automatically connected at startup, leave the Automatically submit credentials box checked; otherwise, uncheck the box.
- Enter your NetID and password , then click Continue >.
- If necessary, click Retry to finish the connection process. You should now be redirected to the OIT Computer Usage Policy web page.
- Click Done in the XpressConnect window to exit the XpressConnect application.
For "UTA Web Login":
- Enter your NetID and password , then click Continue >.
- If necessary, click Retry to finish the connection process.
- The "UTA Web Login" Wireless Network Login page should open in a new window.
- Enter your NetID and password and click Submit.
- You should now be redirected to the OIT Computer Usage Policy web page.
- Click Done in the XpressConnect window to exit the XpressConnect application.
