Function:
ANSYS is one of the many computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools available within the ANSYS Workbench platform. It takes advantage of data and information common to many simulations. Users can link to existing native computer-aided design (CAD) packages as well as create and/or modify CAD models in an intuitive solid modeling environment. For more information, visit ANSYS page.

Known Issues:
Internet Explorer 7 or above is required. Client's Windows machine required to be in uta.edu domain (Not workgroup) in order for the installation link to work properly.

- The software may be installed and used only on UTA owned assets.
- Our license grants the software's use by UTA faculty and students for academic use or non-commercial research.
- Consulting work and benchmarking are activities which are not supported through our license.
Obtaining the Software
- This particular version of AnSYS 12.1 is scheduled to be retired. Instead, A newer version may be obtained by taking the following action.
Please submit a software request to the OIT Help Desk. http://www.uta.edu/oit/cs/helpdesk/full.php Please provide the following information so that we may promptly assist with the software's installation.
- The system or systems administrator's name and contact information consisting of phone number and e-mail address.
- The target system's Operating System architecture such as Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)
- Computer Name of target system or systems to receive the software installation
- System's UTA Asset tag number
