Function:
ANSYS ICEM CFD is an excellent mesh generation tool for any area of analysis that requires a computational domain. Initially focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) mesh generation, the tools can also be used for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Electromagnetics (EMAG). Known Issues:
Internet Explorer 7 or above is required. Client's Windows machine required to be in uta.edu domain (Not workgroup) in order for the installation to work properly.
How to Get:
All active faculty and currently enrolled students are eligible to use the product; however, the software is only allowed to be installed on UT Arlington owned assets. For more information, click here.
Installation:
This software is a bundled program of the AnSYS 13 Suite program. Therefore its installation will necessitate that the entire AnSYS 13 suite be deployed to the individual's system.
E-mail helpdesk@uta.edu a note requesting to have this software installed through software advertisement or unattended silent deployment. Include your machine name, building, room, and contact information. Once OIT-Application Support & Deployment has been notified of the software request, AS & D will silently deploy or advertise the software through OIT's software distributions system, SCCM, to the target machine.
