How to Get:
This software can be installed on UT Arlginton assets only. Clients will need to provide the following information: name, NetID, machine name and UT Arlington inventory number when they contact the OIT Help Desk. A call ticket will then be created and assigned to the appropriate group. To better serve our clients, we are setting up software packages on a software distribution server. Faculty, and staff will receive an email with a link to click on to begin the software installation.
Currently, specific OIT Labs are running AutoCAD 2008 installed. OIT Labs plan to install AutoCAD 2009 on a computer during Summer 2009 so that faculty can test it out. Depending on faculty input, AutoCAD 2009 would then be deployed to specific OIT labs in Fall 2009. Faculty, and staff have the option to upgrade from AutoCAD 2008 to AutoCAD 2009 on their office machine but keep in mind that when you use an OIT Lab machine, it will be running the older version of AutoCAD 2008.
Installation: Follow on screen instructions if you plan to only install one Autodesk product. If you are planning to install multiple ACES (Autodesk Comprehensive Education Solution) products on single computers, you must install the software in a specific order . It is strongly recommended that you visit the ACES website before installing your software. Current installation information is posted to the site.
