Function:
Darik's Boot and Nuke ("DBAN") is a self-contained boot disk that securely wipes the hard disks of most computers. DBAN will automatically and completely delete the contents of any hard disk that it can detect, which makes it an appropriate utility for bulk or emergency data destruction.
Versions are available for Intel/AMD machines, and for Apple PowerPC machines.
DATA ERASED USING DBAN IS NOT RECOVERABLE. USING THIS DISK WILL ERASE ALL DATA OFF ALL HARD DRIVES ON THE MACHINE.

Known Issues: Currently, DBAN PPC version does not support G5 machines. Use of the Apple Disk Utility is recommended in these cases. G4 have been successfully erased using the PPC version.
How to Get: Download the appropriate version from the website. The links will lead to the latest version. Unpack the file, and write the ISO to a CD.
Installation:
DBAN is a self-contained, bootable CD. Booting from the CD will cause it to erase all data on the hard drives, with no way to recover the data.
