Obtaining and Installing FLUENT TGrid software and Licenses (Windows)

Description:
The instructions on this page are for university owned machines only that have "Property of UT Arlington" asset tags, also referred to as UTA assets in this document. These are typical faculty/staff office computers that are connected to the UTA network. Please contact our Help Desk for instructions on how to obtain FLUENT for computer labs utilizing an imaged based deployment, such as Symantec Ghost.
How to Get:
Click Start > Run and type the network path to the files Tgrid_install-ntx86-4.0.24.exe and click OK. Login with your NetID and password when prompted. Enter the NetID in the form of uta\NetID.
How to Use:

Click Start > Run and type the network path to the file Tgrid_install-ntx86-4.0.24.exe and click OK. Login with your NetID and password when prompted. Enter the NetID in the form of uta\NetID.

Click Install to start the installation process. A dialog box will come up about Fluent dropping Windows 2000 support. Click OK

The dialog box shows the progress. You can click on Show details for more information. Click Next installation completed successfully.

Enter lm-ansys12.uta.edu for the FLUENT license server name. Do not change the port number, which should be pre-filled with 7241 . Click Install to continue.

Click Yes if you receive the warning to overwrite an existing FLUENT license. You will not receive this warning if you do not already have a FLUENT license installed.

Click Finish to end FLUENT TGrid software installation. Visit FLUENT TGrid Documentation page to install FLUENT TGrid documentation.
