Function:
McAfee Agent is the client-side component providing secure communication between ePolicy Orchestrator and managed poducts. It also serves as an updater for managed and unmanaged McAfee products. The installation of McAfee agent will result in the installation of the McAfee antivirus software product called McAfee Security.

Installation:
This software is for only UTA owned Macs.
Uninstall any currently installed antivirus software (ClamXav, Avast!, Symantec, older versions of McAfee, etc.).
Connect your Mac to the UTA network.
Download the McAfee-Agent dmg file from the software downloads web page page.
Double click on the McAfee-Agent dmg file to mount the McAfee-Agent disk image.
Double click on the McAfee-Agent mounted disk image and then double click on McAfeeSmartInstall installer file.
If prompted with "McAfeeSmartInstall is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?", click the Open button.
Type in username of an administrator's account and password at the next prompt.
A McAfee Smart Install 4.8.0 window should now appear.
A few minutes after the McAfee Smart Install 4.8.0 window is closed, the McAfee server will begin to install McAfee Security to your computer.
Once McAfee Security is installed, you will have the McAfee Security application installed to your Applications folder and a McAfee menu bar icon.
The latest definitions should be installed automatically shortly after McAfee Security is fully installed.
