Install Microsoft Forefront Client Security (FCS)

Description:
Microsoft Forefront Client Security (FCS) is available to home/personal Windows computers of the UTA community.
Non-UTA domain and personal computers can use the installation instructions below at their own risk.
How to Use:
Install Microsoft Forefront Client Security (FCS)
- Download FCS. Download will require an active UTA NetID and password (64-bit operating systems should use the 64-bit version).
- Open your Downloads folder, or the location to which you saved the download, and double-click the executable file.
- Select 'OK' when prompted that the application will be installed.
- The installation may take several minutes. During the installation you may see an orange icon

- Select 'OK' when prompted that the installation is complete.
- Once all updates and definitions for the FEP program have been installed, the system tray icon will change to green.
- The installer will open a browser to verify that updates have been installed, run Microsoft Update and click Custom.
- Select the Microsoft Forefront Client Security (FCS) update(s).
- Click Review and install updates.
- Click Install Updates.
Reminder: Once you have installed FCS, you must uninstall any other antivirus products.
