Known Issues:
NOTE: Office 2004 will only run on OS X. If you are considering Office for earlier versions of the Mac OS, please purchase Office 2001 for Mac. This is especially important for students, faculty, and staff who are purchasing this for their home machine. Please be sure that you are purchasing the correct version.
Office 2004 uses Entourage for mail services. Entourage and Outlook are different products. If you require the special features of Exchange, such as calendar sharing, delegation, etc..., please use Outlook 2001 (works in Classic Mode). Entourage offers only POP and IMAP services.
E-mail rules created by the client application can not be applied to the Exchange Server. For more information, see our page on this issue by clicking, "Client E-mail Rules".
Software updates for MS Office 2004 will not install on computers with less than 256 MB of RAM. When trying to install a MS Office 2004 update on a Mac with less than 256 MB of RAM an error message will prompt that the computer needs more memory. The solution is to upgrade the computer memory to at least 256 MB.
