Remove SCCM Client Manually

Description:

The following proceedure discribes how to remove the SCCM Client from a computer manually.  If further assistance is required, please contact OIT Service Desk.

How to Use:

  • Open a Command Window as Admin; Click “Start” > “All Programs” > “Accessories” ; Right-Click on Command Prompt (Run as Administrator).

Uninstaller for SCCM 2007

For Windows 7-32bit:

  • Copy & Paste this command into Command Window and select Enter: cd C:\Windows\System32\ccmsetup .
  • Next, Copy & Paste this command into Command Window and select Enter: ccmsetup.exe /uninstall .
  • In about 5 minutes, open the Control Panel; Run Advertised Programs and Configuration Manager Icons should no longer be present.
  • If one or both of these Icons are still visable, close the Control Panel, wait an additional 5 minutes, and re-open the Control Panel. The absents of these Icons means the SCCM Client has successfully been removed from the machine.
  • Proceed to repairing the Windows Management Instrumentation File (WimFix).
  • 

For Windows 7-64bit:

  • Copy & Paste this command into Command Window and select Enter: cd C:\Windows\ccmsetup .
  • Next, Copy & Paste this command to Command Window and select Enter: ccmsetup.exe /uninstall
  • In about 5 minutes, open the Control Panel; Run Advertised Programs and Configuration Manager Icons should no longer be present.
  • If one or both of these Icons are still present, take the measures previously mentioned for Windows 7-32 bit.
  • Proceed to repairing the Windows Management Instrumentation File (WimFix).

 

Uninstaller for SCCM 2012

For Windows 7 -32 or 64bit:

  • Copy & Paste this command into Command Window and select Enter: cd C:\Windows\ccmsetup .
  • Next, Copy & Paste this command to Command Window and select Enter: ccmsetup.exe /uninstall
  • In about 5 minutes, open the Control Panel; Configuration Manager Icon should no longer be present.
  • If Configuration Manager Icon is still present, take the measures previously mentioned for SCCM 2007 Windows 7-32bit. 
  • Proceed to repairing the Windows Management Instrumentation File (WimFix).
