Pharos Uniprint 8.1 Release Station Update
Pharos 8.1 Release Station Upgrade
Follow this procedure to upgrade Pharos Release Station 7.2 to version 8.1. The process assumes you have administrator privileges and if DeepFreeze is installed the machine is in a "thawed" state.
- Delete Print Station (pstation.exe) from c:\documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
- Uninstall Print Station from the Start menu
- Click 'Next' to continue
- Click 'Select All' to select both 'Pharos Station' and 'Pharos Distribution Agent' then click 'Next' to continue
- Click 'Next' to continue
- Click 'Start' to continue
- Click 'Finish' to continue
- Click 'OK' to restart the release station
- After the pharos release station is rebooted, click this link to start the installation. Click 'Next' to continue:
- Enter 'pharos1' as the Database Server Host Name, click 'Next' to continue:
- Click 'Start' to continue:
- Click 'OK' to acknowledge the message:
- Click 'OK' to accept the default:
- Click 'Finish' to end the installation:
- Copy the pstation.exe from c:\Program Files\Pharos\Bin (right-click on the pstation.exe and select 'Copy':
- Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\qman\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and right-click and select 'Paste':
- Click here to install Pharos Billing Gateway software, click 'Next' to continue:
- Click 'Next' to accept the default installation folder:
- Click 'Next' to confirm installation:
- Click 'Close' when installation completed, the Billing Gateway configuration window will open shortly:
- Enter 'pharos1' as the Gateway Hostname and click 'Save' to save the setting. Click 'File' and select 'Exit' to end:
