SPSS is a statistical analysis program that provides the user with various data analysis functionalities .

Known Issues:
SPSS can no longer be used off campus. The software is unable to communicate with UTA SPSS Network License Server to obtain a software license key. We recommend purchasing SPSS for home-use from IBM for off-campus use.

- Software is intended for the exclusive use of faculty and students for academic or non-commercial research purposes.
- Research means research by degree seeking students and faculty members where
- The results of the research are not primarily for the benefit of a third party.
- Such results are made available to anyone without restriction of use, copying, or further distribution
- Any copy of any such result is furnished for no more than the cost of hosting, reproduction, and shipping
- Any other use including but not limited to university administration and operations is strictly prohibited.
- Server and Virtual Computer Lab Use is permitted
Obtaining the software
Please contact helpdesk@uta.edu and request installation of SPSS. Please provide: Name, NetID, Operating System (32-bit or 64-bit), UTA asset tag number, and the machine name.
Add-on Modules
SPSS User's who are in need of Additional Add-on Modules for SPSS may submit a software install request to the OIT Help Desk. They may be reached here http://www.uta.edu/oit/cs/helpdesk/full.php
Personal Use
SPSS for personally-owned machines may be purchased from our High education vendor HiEd at http://www.hied.com/utarlington/. Be advised that installing personally purchased software on UTA owned assets is prohibited.
