Obtaining and Installing 7.0 Licenses - Windows

Description:
The instructions on this page are for university owned machines that have "Property of UT Arlington" asset tags, also referred to as UTA assets in this document. UTA assets are typical faculty/staff office computers that are connected to the UTA network. Please contact the OIT Help Desk for instructions on how to obtain Mathematica for computer labs utilizing an imaged based deployment.
How to Get:

- The UT System has arranged to sell student licenses through HiEd Inc for $15.00 per year (January through December). Mathematica 7 is no longer available at HiED, but current versions are available. Please see www.hied.com/utarlington more information
- UTA Asset
- Labs- Please contact the OIT Help Desk for instructions on how to obtain Mathematica for computer labs utilizing an imaged based deployment.
- Faculty/Staff - Please contact the OIT Help Desk for instructions on how to obtain Mathematica for an office computer.
How to Use:

From the Start menu, select Run.

Type (or copy and paste)\\hidden-share\Wolfram\Mathematica\v7-0\Windows\setup.exe in the text box and click OK.

Click "Next >" to continue installation.

Click "Next >" to accept default destination folder.

Click "Next >" to accept default components installation.

Click "Next >" to accept default shortcuts folder.

Click Install to begin installation. Or click "< Back" to change selections.

Click Finish to end installation and launch Mathematica to start configuration and component installation.

Select the Network License button which is the second button, and enter
lm-mathematica7.uta.edu. Click OK.

Click "Yes" to install Wolfram Notebook Indexer, or "No" to deny installation.

Click "Next >" to install Notebook Indexer.

Click "Next >" to accept default installation.

Click "Finish" to exit setup.
