Network: WirelessIn preparation for a major change to the wireless authentication system, several minor upgrades to the wireless controllers will be performed over the course of the day, today, December 5, 2015. 

Users may experience momentary loss of service prior to the upgrade on each controller. The outages should last no longer than a couple of minutes as the APs go through their controller discovery process.

EMail: Exchange Server

Update 12/08/2015 04:20 p.m.: We are still experiencing issues with email on iPhone and/or iMac. Our technicians are engaged and are working to resolve the issue. If you are experiencing any issues, please notify Help Desk at helpdesk@uta.edu or 817-272-2208.

Update 12/08/2015 08:30 a.m. : Our technicians have made some changes to the email servers which appear to have alleviated the issue with “email bounceback” and also issues with emails on iPhones and/or Macs. We are continuing to monitor the situation in cases more issue occur. If you experience any further problems (or hear of anyone that is having these problems, please contact the Help Desk (helpdesk@uta.edu or 817-272-2208) with as much information as possible, including the original bounceback notification.

Problem Description: Some users may experience issues with their faculty, staff, and affiliate email on iPhone and/or mail on Mac. Additionally, some external users may receive bounceback emails when sending emails to an @uta.edu University email address.

OtherWe are currently experiencing problems with Blackboard (elearn.uta.edu). Some users will experience a problem logging into Blackboard, receiving an “unrecoverable error loop” message or showing a “preview mode” making it appear as if users are not registered for courses.  Temporary work around is to clear the cache and cookies or use an alternate web browser. Technicians are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. EMail: Exchange ServerThere was a problem with the Exchange email system, which caused a delay in or prevented the delivery of some emails from outside the uta.edu domain. Technicians were in the process of performing an Exchange server upgrade, which caused a minor configuration issue that resulted in this problem. We are continuing to experiencing problems with J: Drive connectivity. While our support teams are troubleshooting, all users will experience a problem connecting to their J: Drive.  Our technicians are working with our vendor to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Update: 11/09/2015 10:34 a.m. We are in the process of rebooting homefs.uta.edu to address the J: Drive connectivity issue.

We are currently experiencing problems with J: Drive connectivity. Some users will experience a problem connecting to their J: Driver. EMail: Exchange ServerWe are currently experiencing latency issues with Exchange E-Mail and Listserv. EMail: Outlook Web Access

We are experiencing brief, intermittent service interruptions with OWA (owa.uta.edu) that are lasting a very short time (usually less than a minute).  Some Faculty/Staff may experience brief delays or errors when trying to access their email via the web using the OWA interface, on mobile devices, and while using Outlook for Mac. Our support teams are working on a permanent solution and we will provide additional information as it becomes available.

We are currently experiencing problems with OWA.  Users may be unable to access their email accounts through OWA or have it load for them. “Attachment failed to upload. (18036,10013)  Attachment operation failed for unknown reasons.  (Attachment built-in error14). (18036, 10003)”

EMail: Student MavMail

We are currently experiencing an issue with O365 student password sync. NetID password changes (including those that are made within UT Arlington's Password Self Service site, https://www.uta.edu/selfservice/) are not being synced with the O365 student e-mail system (http://www.outlook.com/mavs.uta.edu). As a result, students resetting their password will not be able to log into their student email account with the new NetID password.
