File Storage and Sharing
- Network Folder (aka, "K: Drive")
Every department is allocated 500 MB of network space to be shared among its members, commonly referred to as K: drive. The files in this storage space are backed up on a nightly basis. - MavSpace
MavSpace is a web resource for publishing and file storage for students, faculty, and staff at The University of Texas at Arlington.
Mailing Lists
LISTSERV is an electronic mailing list application. It maintains e-mail distribution lists used for mass e-mails.
Network Connections
Network access is available via Wireless or VPN.

Statistical Services
The mission of Statistical Services is to help faculty, staff, and students with those aspects of their research that involve the use of statistics and statistical computing.
Scanning Services
Scanning and evaluations will be dropped off and picked up in the OIT main office, B51 Davis Hall, where the Production Control office staff will assist you. The actual scanning of forms will take place at Arlington Regional Data Center (ARDC), formerly known as UTACC, in Fort Worth.
Security Incident Handling
If your computer has access to sensitive information and you suspect that someone has gained unauthorized access to your computer or that your computer has been compromised by malicious code (such as a virus) contact the UT Arlington Helpdesk by email helpdesk@uta.edu or by phone 817.272.2208.
If your computer or laptop has been stolen or you know of a potential computer crime involving UT Arlington, contact the UT Arlington Police at 817.272.3381.
Security Training
All UT Arlington faculty and staff are expected to receive information security training via security workshops and online training. This training is to help increase security awareness, meet state and federal initiatives on security and help ensure the privacy and integrity of UT Arlington computing networks and systems.

Student Organizations
OIT actively supports Student Organizations with services such as Printing in OIT Computing Facilities, Mailing Lists, Official Web Pages, Maverick Wikis, Maverick Blogs, and Training and Documentation.
Teaching Labs

OIT maintains several computer labs on campus for events such as training classes, exams, or meetings. Departments may also request software be installed in the classrooms using the Software Installation Form.
Training
OIT's Training and Documentation Services team is ready to provide training and orientations to meet the needs of UTA students, faculty, and staff. Every semester we offer free computer classes covering topics such as MyMav, MavSpace, MavMail, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Student Web pages, NetID and others.
