- Click on the file name to download Fetch FTP software for Mac OS X.
- Double-click on the program icon.

-
When the New Connection window appears enter the following information:
Host: should be the server name you are trying to connect to. If you do not know to which server you need to connect, review the information on the main FTP page.
Username:enter your NetID. If you are connecting to a server other than Omega and Gamma, enter uta\ in front of your NetID.Password: enter your NetID password. Your password must not be expired. You can verify the validity of your password and/or choose a new password at the Self Service page.
Click OK when you are finished.

- Once you are connected, a new window will appear displaying the server name at the top. Your Status should indicate that you are connected. From this point you will have two options:
- Get - this is the equivalent of download. You can either select and highlight the file you wish to download by clicking on it once and then pressing the Get File button, or you can simply drag and drop the file from the Fetch FTP window to your Desktop or any other folder on your computer's local hard drive.
- Put Files - this is the equivalent of upload. When you click on Put Files you will be given the opportunity to choose which files you wish to upload.

- Navigate through your local or network drives to find the file or files you wish to upload. Click on the file you wish to select and then click on Open.

Fetch will ask you for a filename. This will enable you to give the destination file a different name than the original. More often than not, it is best just to leave the filename the same and clickOK.

At any point during an upload or a download you can cancel your transfer by clicking on the Stop button that appears in the lower right hand corner.
