Executive Committee (EC)
Purpose
The Executive Committee (EC) supports the University strategic goals and oversees the efficient use of all IT resources.

Semi-Annually, with additional meetings for special needs
Members
Permanent:
- President (Chair)
- Provost
- Vice President for Business Affairs and Comptroller
- Vice President for Campus Operations
- Vice President for Research
Non-voting
- CIO
Responsibilities
- Define how the University mission, goals, and strategic direction translate into technology direction
- Work closely with IT Governance Committee to understand IT requests, committed and available IT resources and current funding sources to best define annual and semi-annual IT projects that will help promote university excellence
- Based on technology requests and available resources, annually define how much available resources should be used for medium versus large projects. If multiple large projects are approved, the number of resources available for medium sized projects may be diminished. The reverse is also true.
- Provide guidance on technology policies that need executive sponsorship to ensure success across campus
- Make decisions on which large projects provide the greatest value to UT Arlington
- Participate in funding decisions
