Governance Participants
At the University of Texas at Arlington, IT Governance has been designed to collect input from all facets of the campus, utilize Advisory Committees to filter through requests and recommend the ones with the greatest university value, utilize an IT Governance Committee to approve medium projects and prioritize large projects to the Executive Committee, and engage the Executive Committee to make decisions related to large projects (approve/decline/postpone, prioritize, fund if necessary).
Although IT Governance is designed for the entire university, at this time, its project priorities will only address OIT resource utilization due to the existence of non-OIT IT resources that are not part of the available resources for campus-level decisions.
