Network Electronic Distribution System
The heart of the network distribution system resides in the basement of the Central Library, the main termination point for the bulk of the fiber plant. The core network device is a Cisco 6513 that currently drives 64 Gigabit Ethernet VLAN trunks to buildings across the campus. In each building the network is distributed between hub rooms using Gigabit Ethernet. The standard service presented to each wired jack across the campus is auto-sensing 10/100 Mb Ethernet.
