CRM Project Overview
Nearly four years ago, UT Arlington partnered with vendor, Oracle, to use the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) enterprise application. The primary users of the application is the Office of Graduate Studies. However, with prospective student recruiting and retention being major components of university strategic initiatives, CRM is poised to enlarge its footprint to help the university fortify its coordination and management of vital relationships.
CRM Upgrade (v9.0 to 9.1)
The objective of the project is to upgrade from the current version of CRM 9.0 to the latest release, version 9.1 for Higher Education.
CRM 9.1, Higher Education release, is touted as solution released specifically for the Higher Education industry. This version delivers many enterprise integration points (EIPs) between our existing Campus Solutions (MyMav) application and CRM. The EIPs will allow UT Arlington to optimize data sharing between two staple administrative applications. Below are the major benefits of this undertaking.
1. Reduce or eliminate existing customized interfaces and processes between MyMav and CRM
2. Provide timely cross-application data relevant to streamline and target business process efforts and relationship management
3. Maximizes ability to focus recruiting activities and rentention efforts by leveraging application data synergy
4. Promote opportunity to engage a full-circle dialog with prospective students providing useful information and gathering valuable feedback
The project will immediately impact the Office of Graduate Studies as they are currently the primary users of the CRM application. Nonetheless, other business areas of UT Arlington who anticipate using CRM are involved with the project.
