Funding Lab Software Request Policy
If the software requested serves a large group of people, OIT will seek funding. If the software requested directly serves a limited number of people then the group will need to seek its own funding.
Currently, departments are responsible for purchasing software when the software is used in departmental special lab(s). OIT will assist with price quote, ordering and installing as required. OIT will typically seek funding and purchase the software when the software is for use in OIT labs by two or more disciplines. Requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
