Raise awareness about accessibility
Many times web designers and developers are not aware of accessibility and hence their sites are not oriented towards people with disabilities. Make sure everyone who creates or edits web content is aware of what accessibility is all about and how to make their content more accessible.
Have team policies that make accessibility important
Since it is legally required that we have accessible web content it should be a policy that all web content is checked for accessibility and made as accessible as possible.
Accessibility checks or reviews are as important to web content for an institution like ours just like software testing and code reviews.
