Mission Statement

The mission of UT System Shared Applications is to provide leadership in information technology services by supporting the University of Texas System Shared Applications' goals with a proactive, customer service focus. Our mission statement supports the requirements to:

  • Develop and provide comprehensive technical services that support the UT System’s shared application and reporting needs
  • Provide support to improve management of UT System Participating Institution resources through increased productivity and operational effectiveness

The Shared Applications Support team will strive to:

  • Provide quality, on-time deliverables that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations
  • Deliver thorough, detailed, and accurate solutions to meet the customers needs
  • Utilize a project management methodology in delivering solutions
  • Develop partnerships with our different UT System Institutions
  • Exhibit a positive, “can do” attitude
  • Solicit feedback from our customers on responsiveness and effectiveness in meeting their needs
  • Look towards the future with “out of the box” ideas, alternatives, and solutions

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis, design, testing, and implementation for developing and enhancing shared modifications for PeopleSoft applications (used by multiple UT System participating institutions)
  • Provide Oracle database administration for PeopleSoft and UT Arlington applications
  • Enhance and support the PeopleSoft EPM data warehouse environments across multiple UT System participating institutions
  • For the PeopleSoft applications, establish change management processes and standards and promote effective change management delivery
  • Provide leadership in developing standards for enhancing and supporting UT System shared applications
