Web Standards Committee - Purpose and Scope
WSC Projects and Initiatives
The list of topics that the committee will address is long and diverse. So, it was decided to prioritize the list and have near-term and longer term topics.
Initially, the committee will be limiting their activity to only a few items. These include:
- Web Content Management System
- Blogs
- Wikis
- Financial transaction standards
- UT Arlington Website branding and standardization (see CMS)
- Web development and test environment
Other topics that will be address over time:
- Web development tool recommendations
- Database standardization and support
- Accessibility standards
- Website development training and education
- University content ownership
- Compliance procedures (and non-compliance penalties)
- Advertisement policies
