New Maverick Orientation is two days filled to the brim with information and fun. Day one of orientation will focus on academics. You’ll have the chance to meet with a representative from your College/School, learn about the resources available for new students and meet with your academic advisor to review your first semester classes.
Day two will focus on your social adjustment to campus. Getting involved in campus activities will improve your time-management skills and help you become a better student, and of course, make your college years memorable. Making new friends and asking current students all types of questions will give you a great insight to what college life is really like.

New Maverick Transfer Orientation is designed specifically for those students that have previous college experience. Making new friends, asking questions of the Maverick Orientation Leaders and learning how things work at UT Arlington, will help make your transition much easier.
Transfer Orientation is a one-day program (8:00 am-4:00pm) with plenty of time for students to accomplish campus business such as visiting the financial aid office and meeting with your academic advisor.

New Maverick Orientation understands that your needs may be different from our traditional students, so we have designed a schedule, specifically for you. Understanding your Veteran’s benefits, the new GI Bill and the services provided by the Veteran Affairs office are the main focus of this orientation. Connecting with other veterans and asking questions of current student veterans will also help you connect to the campus community

Congratulations on pursuing your graduate studies at the University of Texas at Arlington. To help you get off to a good, strong start, New Maverick Orientation wants to provide you with information to help answer any questions you have about the University. Because you have attended one or more colleges or universities before, you may have noticed that each institution has policies, procedures, and services that are unique. You’ll meet campus leaders, administrators, and fellow graduate students. To attend the New Graduate Student Orientation you must be an admitted graduate student for the Fall 2014 semester.
