Advanced Placement and Dual Credit
AP Credit
If you have taken an AP exam for any high school classes and you would like to receive college credit for those classes, you must have your official scores sent to the UT Arlington Testing Services Office. You must also apply to have the credit placed on your transcript. If you have received your AP scores by the time you come to orientation, please bring a copy of the scores with you so you may be advised appropriately. If you have not received your scores when you come to orientation, please discuss your examination with your advisor so that he or she is aware of your intent to have AP credit applied toward a particular class.
Dual Credit
If you have taken dual credit courses in high school, please obtain an official transcript from the local college where you received credit. To ensure accurate advising, bring a copy of the transcript with you to orientation to share with your academic advisor. If you have not submitted an official college transcript to the Admissions Office, please submit it prior to orientation.
