All of the regular New Maverick Orientation sessions are closed. We will be offering a one day late orientation session on Thursday, August 14 for any freshmen who have not yet attended.

Please be advised that New Maverick Orientation is required for all freshmen prior to class registration. Thursday, August 14 is the only option to complete your orientation requirement. You may register for this session below.

Important Information (Read Before Logging In)

Network ID and Password. You will need a NetID and password to register. You should have received your NetID and password from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions through e-mail or via postal mail.

Reservations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis, so make your reservations early. All orientation fees including parent/guest registration fees will be charged to your student account. ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Please use the link below if you need to make a change to your reservation once it has been submitted. If you need to change the date of your orientation session, there will be a $20.00 date change fee applied to your student account.

CHANGE YOUR RESERVATION

Net ID Information:

Each student at UT Arlington is automatically given a University network login ID that is referred to as a “NetID.” Your NetID was assigned when you applied to UT Arlington. You do not need to take any additional action request an account. Your NetID and default password adhere to the following format:

NetID: fml####
Your NetID will be your first, middle, and last initial followed by the last four digits of your UTA ID number at the time you first enrolled at UT Arlington. The UTA ID number will be a randomized number generated when you applied to the University. Please note, your NetID is permanent and will not change while you are a UTA student.

You will be given a temporary randomized password by the Admission’s Office in an e-mail (if an email address was provided by you) or via postal mail.

To access your account:
Before you can access any resources you need to “activate” your NetID account. You can do so at http://www.uta.edu/selfservice by clicking on “Activate your NetID Account” link. Choose 5 identity questions for which you will always know the answer. Once you activate your account and choose a new password, wait for 3-5 minutes before trying to access MyMav or any other online resource.
