We are excited that you have chosen to continue your education in Maverick country! You are not alone in your decision to transfer to UT Arlington. Each year over 5,000 students transfer here to take advantage of our excellent faculty, top-ranked programs and more than 300 student organizations.
In the excitement of transferring, many students have questions about academics, student services, and financial aid. Attendance at a transfer orientation program will not only answer these questions but prepare you for the college experience at UT Arlington. We understand that this is not your first ride and we respect your previous college experience. Transfer orientation is designed for the specific needs of transfer students, to acquaint you with UT Arlington’s approach to academic success as well as connect you with students, staff and resources unique to this university. As students transfer to UT Arlington with a variety of experiences, we have two different programs to meet their needs, Transfer Experience and Transfer Express. Be sure to review each program to find the one that fits your needs.
Transfer orientation is mandatory for all transfer students regardless of the amount of credits being transfered.
Advising is not scheduled into the orientation day. Due to the varied advising needs of transfer students, you need to contact your advisor to be advised during your own, separate advising appointment.
For students entering the School of Architecture, advising will occur on orientation day
