Online Tutoring |
A Writing Center appointment guarantees that a tutor will be available to assist you with your writing. You may schedule an appointment in one of three ways: online, by telephone, or in person. Making an appointment onlineThe first time you use the online appointment scheduling system, you must register, using your UTA e-mail address, your first and last names, and creating a password for yourself. Then you must log in, using your UTA e-mail address and the password you created. When you log in, you willl see a weekly Writing Center schedule. Choose an available time when you would like an appointment, and click on one of the empty boxes to make your appointment. In the reservation form that pops up, you must fill in the information about your course, instructor, and what you want to work on during the session. The course information should consist of the department code and course number, such as ENGL1301, INTS2309 or EE3323. If the writing is not for a course, please use N/A in the course and instructor boxes. Click on the "Save reservation" button and your appointment is scheduled.
