WELCOME WEEK
As an official kick-off to the new academic year, The University of Texas at Arlington hosts its annual Maverick Stampede (to include move-in day for on-campus residents) in the fall semester. During Maverick Stampede, students will experience fun and exciting programs to help new and returning students smoothly acclimate to campus life.
Move In Day Family Activities
The Office of Parent & Family Services hosts move-in day activities for students and their families. Look for family-centered events on the move-in day calendar and the Maverick Stampede event calendar for details on these special events each fall.
MAVERICK FAMILY FUN
There are many opportunities for you to connect with the university! Several significant events throughout the year provide opportunities to visit with your student and stay involved with campus. We have designed our on-campus events to be informative to you about on-campus resources, entertain the entire family with fun and exciting games and activities while you experience our beautiful campus and the surrounding community.
FAMILY-CENTERED EVENTS
The Office of Parent and Family Services plans family-centered events every year to ensure that families have the chance to explore campus through the lens of their UTA student. Our family-centered events often entail athletic events, family-friendly activities, engaging demonstrations, and spirited competitions. Each family-centered event combines structured activities and free time to create a memorable and fun experience for the entire family!
Commencement
Earning a degree from The University of Texas at Arlington is an honor and an accomplishment. Commencement season is producing unparalleled excitement on campus, as graduates get ready to walk across the College Park Center stage. The years of hard work and dedication will culminate in ceremonies with rich academic tradition.
