PHIL-MAJ, the Philosophy Majors Discussion List, serves as an important channel of professional communication between philosophy majors at UTA: The range of topics for discussion should be restricted to those having something to do with philosophy or with majoring in philosophy at UTA.

If you are a UTA philosophy major and wish to subscribe to the list, send email to "listserv@listserv.uta.edu" with the following command in the body of your message:

sub phil-maj Your-first-name Your-last-name

Once you have subscribed, any message that you send to the "list address," PHIL-MAJ@listserv.uta.edu, will be distributed to all subscribers. You must never try to send any command to that address, as it would be distributed to all the people who have subscribed. All commands must be sent to the "LISTSERV address," listserv@listserv.uta.edu.
