Diffraction at D0

Abstract:

Results are presented on studies of diffraction using the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. These diffractive events are produced in proton-antiproton collisions and are tagged by forward regions with very little energy deposition (`rapidity gaps') and concurrent production of jets or W or Z bosons. Preliminary results are also presented from the Forward Proton Detector (FPD), a new sub-detector built at UTA to tag and measure diffractively scattered protons and antiprotons.
