Part-time instructors sought for UT Arlington Physics Courses

The Department of Physics at the University of Texas at Arlington is accepting statements of interest from individuals who are qualified and interested in teaching Physics courses in UTA Physics on an occasional or ongoing part-time basis. Introductory algebra-based and calculus-based Physics courses are targeted in particular.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Physics or a closely related discipline, such as Mathematics or Engineering, and must have taken at least 18 additional hours in graduate Physics courses at an accredited university or college. For each course taught, a part-time instructor receives a lump sum payment of $3500.

Interested and qualified individuals should submit their statements of interest, tailored CVs, and the names and contact information for three appropriate references to Amy Osborn at Osborn@uta.edu.

It is very likely there will be multiple opportunities during the Fall 2007 semester and beyond.
