The Fall-2006 joint
meeting of the Texas Sections of the American
Physical Society (TSAPS), American Association of
Physics Teachers (TSAAPT), Zone-13 of the Society of
Physics Students (SPS), Forum on Industrial &
Applied Physics (FIAP), National Society of Hispanic
Physicists (NSHP), and National Society of Black
Physicists (NSBP) will be held during October 5-7,
2006 at the University of Texas at Arlington,
Arlington, Texas. The 400-acre main campus in
central Arlington is located at the center of the
Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, the 9th largest U.S.
metropolitan area and is minutes from world-class
museums, entertainment facilities and numerous
professional sports venues. The program of the
meeting includes presentations by Invited Plenary Speakers, Invited Speakers, and Authors of
contributed papers. The TSAPS sessions will include
presentations of research in:
