Title: "Discovering New Particles at Tevatron"

Dr. Igor V. Gorelov
University of New Mexico

The talk is based on recent discoveries of new bottom baryons made by CDF and D0 Collaborations running experiments at Tevatron. The direct observation of baryons containing b quarks has been limited to a single state, Lambda_b until recently. The first observations of Sigma_b and Cascade_b baryon states produced in CDF and D0 detectors are now beginning to subject the b baryon spectroscopy to closer examination. I will talk about the heavy baryon spectroscopy, the phenomenological approaches and explore the connection with the strange baryon studies made in 60's and 70's. I will cover the modern techniques used for the searches of heavy bottom baryon signatures at Tevatron. The new experimental results are going to be discussed and ongoing analyses will be outlined.
