Survey Results
Over the past few years, the Committee has used surveys to gather data from defense attorneys, prosecutors, and judges related to the status of indigent defense in Texas. Aggregate data from the surveys and the executive summaries may be viewed by following the links below.
Defense Attorney Survey - A survey of a sample of criminal defense attorneys in Texas conducted in 1995.
Prosecutor Survey - A survey of all criminal prosecutors in Texas conducted in 1997.
Judge Survey - A survey of all judges in Texas with criminal jurisdiction conducted in 1998.
