Dear Colleagues,
Governor Perry has directed the closing of all state agencies on Friday, June 11 in honor of President Ronald Reagan. In furtherance of the Governor's directive, regular academic classes at The University of Texas at Arlington and UTA Fort Worth Campus will be cancelled on Friday. Continuing education classes and special events and programs will be held as scheduled, including, but not limited to, new student orientation, summer youth programs, and athletic competitions. University Center food services will be open.
Classified and classified exempt employees who serve on skeleton crews are entitled to compensatory time off for any hours worked. All employees who are not required to be at work should account for the time off as "other approved." Employees should consult with their supervisor regarding office arrangements.
