RE:            Summer Blood Drive

The University of Texas at Arlington has long supported those in need in the Metroplex through blood donations to area hospitals and charities.  The Campus Traditions Committee of EX.C.E.L. Campus Activities is cosponsoring with Carter BloodCare the "Annual Summer Blood Drive" from July 19 through July 22, 2004.  A long-standing campus tradition, this event is held three times a year.

According to statistics, 70% of us will need blood in our lifetimes. Each donation could potentially save four lives and help provide blood to over 198 area hospitals and health care facilities.

In addition, by donating blood at UTA through Carter BloodCare, you will receive access to the UTA Blood Credits.  The University of Texas at Arlington has had a blood plan with Carter since the 1980's and can be accessed by students, faculty and staff, and their families and friends.
