New Maverick Ideas Website
Thursday, May 20, 2010
Dear Colleagues:
|
I am pleased to announce the launch of a new UT Arlington website that provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to suggest ideas to improve the University.
Maverick Ideas provides a venue for faculty and staff to share and express suggestions to potentially help cut costs, reduce waste, enhance learning, work smarter, and increase the University's impact. Maverick Ideas enables faculty and staff at all levels to submit, discuss, and vote on ideas that have the potential to help our University fulfill its mission.
The website is simple to navigate and easy to use. Instructions and guidelines for submitting ideas are posted on the site, as is the process for review and evaluation of ideas. I will personally review all submissions, and our senior leadership team will ensure that appropriate consideration is given to ideas throughout the process.
I hope you will find this new resource to be helpful, productive, and worthwhile. I'd also like to thank the Staff Advisory Council for proposing the initial idea for this website. We'll consider the council's idea to be the very first of our Maverick Ideas!
Please visit Maverick Ideas to learn more and to get started:
Should you have any questions about this new program, please contact maverickideas@uta.edu. And, as always, feel free to contact me at jds@uta.edu.
Sincerely,
James D. Spaniolo
President
