As you prepare for the new academic year, please make plans to join us for the MavsMeet Convocation. This is our sixth annual MavsMeet, and it is a significant and memorable way to start the new semester.
Faculty and staff from each of UT Arlington's colleges and schools have had direct, hands-on involvement in planning the convocation. One of your colleagues—Physics Professor Kaushik De—will deliver keynote remarks. The UT Arlington marching band will perform, and we will welcome our newest students and faculty.
We urge you to join us at 4 p.m. this Wednesday, Aug. 25, in Texas Hall.
Immediately following MavsMeet, I encourage you to join the platform party and me for a faculty/staff reception at the University Club in Davis Hall. Light hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served. Special music will be provided by Tim Ishii and the UT Arlington Jazz Ensemble.
Please join us in kicking off the new academic year in grand style by attending MavsMeet and the faculty/staff reception. We look forward to seeing you there.
