International Faculty Exchanges

UT Arlington is looking to grow its international faculty exchanges as part of its 2020 Stratgic Plan Bold Solutions, Global Impact (http://www.uta.edu/strategicplan/).  The Division of Faculty Affairs seeks to support faculty in developing international exchange opportunities by keeping an updated list of opportunities and resources.

Fullbright Scholars Program

For faculty seeking a shorter commitment than a Fulbright normally funds, the Fulbright Specialist Program sends faculty to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at academic institutions abroad for a period of 2 to 6 weeks. Specialists, who represent a wide range of professional and academic disciplines, are competitively selected based on their knowledge, skill sets, and ability to make a significant contribution to projects overseas. Selected individuals are matched with approved projects designed by foreign host institutions from over 150 countries and other areas.

100K Strong in the AmericaS

100,000 Strong in the Americas uses the principle of leveraged innovation with higher education institutions (HEIs) that demonstrate the greatest commitment and innovation toward increasing study abroad opportunities between the United States and countries in the Western Hemisphere. In applying for the Innovation Fund grants, HEIs will be asked to demonstrate how they will assert leadership in implementing the innovations proposed, how they will address on-campus barriers to student mobility, how they will maintain student engagement, and how they will commit to making concrete changes to expand access to study abroad as sending and/or hosting institutions.
