Location Change for P/T Mentor Workshop on March 21

Due to overwhelming demand, the P/T Mentor Workshop scheduled for Friday, March 21, has been moved to the Rio Grande Ballroom – B, located on the second floor of the E.H. Hereford University Center. The workshop begins at noon.

Faculty Participation at Commencement: New FAQ Page Available

In light new expectations regarding faculty members’ participation at UT Arlington commencement ceremonies, we have produced a new FAQ document, which can be accessed at the Office of Provost webpage on Academic Policies; look under “Faculty Policies.” Should you have a question not addressed by this new FAQ sheet, please contact Vice Provost David Silva (djsilva@uta.edu) and we’ll update the page as appropriate.

Register Now for “Setting the Tone on Day One” (March 28)

Spaces are still available for faculty at every level—from GTAs to lecturers to full professors—to learn more about best practices for the first day of the term. The “Day One” workshop will take place on Friday, March 28 from 1:00 to 4:00 in the Central Library, Sixth Floor. To sign up, go to https://www.uta.edu/provost/faculty-affairs/day-one-2014.php. Did you know…

… That “Food Truck Fridays" will start on Friday, March 21? This special initiative will continue for an additional five weeks, ending on Friday, April 18. Food Truck Fridays will take place from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the City of Arlington’s Founders Plaza, 100 West Abram Street (just two blocks north of the College Park District). Gather a group of colleagues and head to the edge of campus to enjoy good food in the great outdoors!
