Team-Based Learning SIG

As noted in FAN 003, a new Special Interest Group ("SIG") on Team-Based Learning will be forming in the spring. Thank You!

A special "thank you" to all of you who came out during the weekend of December 13 through 15 to represent the faculty at this fall's commencement ceremonies. According to one parent, it was gratifying to see how much the faculty supported the students, right up until the very end. Your presence and participation were very much appreciated. Photos and videos of each ceremony can be found at the official UT Arlington commencement website.

Did you know that ...

... The university-wide response rate for this fall's Student Feedback Survey was 40%? That's a 25% increased over the participation rate we've experienced since the SFS when fully online. Many thanks to those faculty members who made an extra effort by allowing their students time to complete the survey during class -- much as we did when the forms were on paper. To learn more about the SFS process, visit http://www.uta.edu/sfs. To offer recommendations for how we might continue to improve student participation in and awareness of the SFS process, please contact David Silva, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs.

The Division of Faculty Affairs Leadership Team
wishes every member of the UT Arlington faculty a restful winter break.
We look forward to working with you throughout the spring semester 2014 and beyond.
