Information Technology Strategic Alignment

UT Arlington's Office of Information Technology (OIT) has recently embarked upon a comprehensive review, a task undertaken with an eye toward strategically realigning the campus IT organization. As part of this process, several teams made up individuals from OIT as well as others who provide IT support directly to on-campus units gathered data about several facets of the IT enterprise:

  • mapping the overall IT system
  • analyzing key IT process (and identifying bottlenecks)
  • mapping IT assets and related finances
  • mapping the IT organization structure to the service delivery system
  • understanding  the needs and experience of OIT's business customers and end-users
  • benchmarking against other comparable / aspirant institutions to understand best practices

On Tuesday, December 3, the work undertaken by these teams will be presented to the entire UT Arlington community. UT Arlington faculty and academic staff are invited to learn about each team's findings and to participate in corresponding question-and-answer sessions. The events listed in the agenda below are free and open to those interested in each team's topic. You may come and go as your schedule permits.
