Jack W. Brehm
Jack Brehm received his B.A. from Harvard University in 1952 and his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1955. Formerly on the faculty of Duke University, he is currently a faculty member in the social psychology program at the University of Kansas. In 1998, he received the Distinguished Scientist Award from the Society of Experimental Social Psychology, the highest honor bestowed by that organization. Jack Brehm’s current research interests concern emotion’s intensity and how it relates to motivation. In the past, his work has focused on dissonance theory and choice.
