Research Description
My general interests are in applied psychometrics and multivariate statistics, so I work with a variety of databases. My specific current research interests are in examining why morphed (averaged) faces tend to be rated as more attractive than the components upon which they are based, an area initiated some years ago by Prof. Judith Langlois of the University of Texas. Thanks to a new student in my laboratory, I am also studying how bilinguals integrate information from the separate languages that they speak, specifically bilingual priming at the level of the individual numerals. This also reflects my interest in cross-cultural issues.
