Grant & Contract Services works with University faculty and staff throughout the campus in the identification of potential funding sources and development of proposals for sponsored projects in all areas such as research, education, training, curriculum development, equipment acquisition, public service and, occasionally, institutional and departmental activities.
The sponsored project may be in the form of a grant or a contract. In the pre-award phase of administration, GCS is responsible for the final review of all grant proposals to make certain they conform to the current regulations of the University, State and Federal guidelines, and the potential sponsor before they are signed by a signatory officer of the University. All contracts and agreements for sponsored projects are also negotiated and signed by our office.
The staff of Grant & Contract Services is pleased to have an active role working with the faculty and staff of the University in the complex process of proposal preparation and sponsored program administration. You may contact the Grant & Contract specialist member assigned to your area for assistance.
