Transportation is a highly multidisciplinary field encompassing disciplines including civil engineering, operations research, systems engineering, electrical engineering, city planning, human factors and computer science. The objective of this center is to facilitate research and training activities in transportation through bringing together faculty expertise. Activities include observational, experimental and basic research in transportation, particularly research related to the various aspects of Intelligent Transportation Systems, transportation systems analysis and planning, and public transit planning and operations.
