Information for Industrial Sponsors

At The University of Texas at Arlington, we seek out the untested boundaries of knowledge with research centers across disciplines. Many companies sponsor research at UTA by providing funds to support a research project on a topic of mutual interest.

Sponsored research programs enable the sponsor, UTA, and the public to benefit from the generation of new knowledge and the societal and economic rewards of commercialization of university-industry innovations. Click below to learn more about some of the unique opportunities and capabilities at UTA:

UTA’s many research centers each pursue a different research focus. As an example, our centralized research resources model helps eliminate barriers to research technologies and create a mutual space for interaction to promote scientific advances that traditional approaches do not.

UTA’s interdisciplinary approach drives leading-edge research with a major impact on scientific study and entrepreneurship. Unlike many ordinary research facilities, UTA centers bring an additional level of accessibility to our research sponsors and partners.

Other UTA resources and partners also support varied research efforts. Our Center for Bilingual and ESL Education finds the best ways to educate across cultural divides. Our Amphibian and Reptile Diversity Research Center illuminates creatures like the rarely seen Mexican mole lizard.  And those are just a few examples.

Our efforts have earned UTA the classification as a Research University/High Activity. According to the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching; our federal funding for research has grown 69 percent since 2001.

See what research means to us. And what our research means to the world.
