About OTM

The Office of Technology Management at UT Arlington supports researchers in protecting intellectual property and bringing discoveries into the commercial marketplace. We are dedicated to building relationships with commercial partners to benefit UTA, researchers, and the broader community.

What we do:

  • Evaluate new technologies for patentability and marketability
  • Advise researchers throughout the intellectual property protection process
  • Prosecute patents, copyrights and trademarks
  • Identify industry fit and potential licensees for technology
  • Extend licenses for patents, copyrights, trademarks and end use software

UT TRANSFORM

Translational Research Advancement Network to Support, Fund, Organize, Roll-Out, and Motivate UT Innovations

A new funding program has been announced to support innovation and entrepreneurial activities at all UT campuses (UT Transform Program). They are now ready to receive your ideas and funding proposals!  UT TRANSFORM provides up to $10,000 in seed funding for innovative commercialization projects in development from UT Systems Institutions. To apply for seed funding and read more about any rules and guidelines, go to http://loyacenter.utep.edu/ut-transform/seed_funding_competition.php.  Applications will be evaluated as they are submitted. Funds are limited, so earlier applications may have greater access to available funds.
